My story

A Word on me

My journey into the world of digital media and how I got to where I am today...

My first love growing up was storytelling.
During my formative years, I thought that meant I would have to be a writer. My world opened up to new possibilities when I entered high school and started learning television production.
My first camera was a Canon Rebel t5i my parents got me for Christmas when I was 19. I used that camera to film and photograph digital media projects for my university, the University of South Florida St. Petersburg.
This was my first foray into seeing the career potential of being a digital creator. I created a variety of short feature pieces and fell in love with the process of conceptualizing, shooting, and editing video projects.
I graduated USF St. Petersburg in 2017. I took two sports internships that year. I was a video editor with the Tampa Bay Rowdies soccer club for the duration of their season. In the late fall, I did a two-month internship with NASCAR racetrack Homestead-Miami Speedway, leading up to and during their championship week.
In 2019, I took a role with Sports Info Solutions,  a sports analytics company based in Pennsylvania. I was a video editor who helped fulfill the company’s partnership with the MLB to log MiLB video clips.
When the minor league season ended, I picked up a graduate assistant role with Murray State University. I would assist our creative video producer and broadcast director. I got experience with all facets of the collegiate video experience. I created hype videos, intro videos, logged footage, designed social posts, and assisted in every aspect of our ESPN+ streams. On broadcasts, I did setup, breakdown, tech direction, graphics, and ran cameras. We were a three-person team and faced many challenges, especially the pandemic in 2020, but I was granted a lot of creative license and freedom, which allowed me to learn a lot.
I joined the University of Delaware in 2021. While at Delaware, I was able to focus more on my creative skillset. With more time invested in creative shooting and editing, I built on a solid foundation from Murray to become a better video producer. I became a quicker and more efficient editor, turning around edits and highlights shortly after games had ended. While I was only at Delaware for a little over a year, I was fortunate enough to cover three conference championship teams. The championship-winning recap videos were among my favorite pieces I’ve made during my time there.
The most recent stage of my journey was with Arizona State University. I joined in late 2022. I was a lead videographer providing social and digital coverage for all of Arizona State’s sporting programs. I documented many of ASU’s programs with a focus on volleyball, soccer, and softball. I will forever cherish the amazing people I got to work for and with.
